Stem cell shot aims to ease Millions' back pain
NCT ID NCT03737461
Summary
This trial is testing whether an injection of donor stem cells into a damaged spinal disc can reduce chronic low back pain and improve function. It compares the stem cell treatment against a sham (placebo) injection in about 113 adults whose pain hasn't improved with standard therapies like physical therapy or medication. The main goal is to see if the treatment significantly reduces pain and disability one year later.
