Personal stem cells tested to heal damaged brains

NCT ID NCT04063215

Summary

This study tested whether infusing a patient's own stem cells was safe and could help adults recover from a traumatic brain injury. It involved 24 participants who had a brain injury more than six months prior. Researchers measured changes in brain structure, thinking skills, and quality of life over a year to see if the treatment had any effect.
