Scientists grow 'Disease-in-a-Dish' to crack code of deadly heart rhythms

NCT ID NCT02413450

Summary

This study aims to better understand inherited heart rhythm disorders by creating personalized cell models. Researchers will collect small skin or blood samples from 100 adult patients with specific genetic heart conditions and healthy volunteers. They will reprogram these cells into heart muscle cells in the lab to study how the diseases develop and to test potential future treatments.
