Stem cell shots tested to save limbs from Buerger's disease
NCT ID NCT05854615
Summary
This small study in Malaysia is observing whether injections of donor stem cells (Stempeucel®) into the leg muscles can help patients with a severe form of Buerger's disease. Buerger's disease damages blood vessels, often leading to severe pain, non-healing ulcers, and risk of amputation. The study will follow three patients for a year to see if the treatment reduces pain, helps ulcers heal, improves walking, and is safe.
