Could your own stem cells fix a painful hip?

NCT ID NCT03608579

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether injecting a patient's own lab-grown stem cells into the hip joint is safe and can reduce pain and improve movement in adults with hip osteoarthritis. Twenty-four people aged 18 to 65 will receive the injections and be monitored for side effects and symptom changes. The goal is to find the best dose for future, larger studies.
