First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether statin therapy and vitamin D supplements can help control active thyroid eye disease, a condition that causes eye bulging and discomfort. About 120 adults with active disease will be randomly assigned to one of four groups: standard care alone, statin plus standard care, vitamin D plus standard care, or both statin and vitamin D plus standard care. The main goal is to see if these treatments reduce disease activity and eye bulging over 24 weeks.
