NCT ID NCT07460960

First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether cholesterol-lowering statins affect male sex hormones and erectile function in men aged 40-65 with high heart risk. Researchers will give 150 men either pitavastatin or rosuvastatin and check their hormone levels, erection quality, and blood vessel health over 6 months. The goal is to see if statins can improve erections by helping blood vessels work better, without harming hormone levels.
