First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study aims to see if using a standard method for cervical ripening (softening the cervix before labor) increases the chance of a vaginal delivery. About 1,158 pregnant women scheduled for labor induction will be randomly assigned to one of two standard approaches. The goal is to improve birth outcomes and reduce the need for C-sections.
