Summary

This study tests if a mobile app called Stand Down, with or without extra support from a peer specialist over the phone, can help Veterans who drink heavily cut back. About 234 Veterans who screened positive for hazardous drinking and own a smartphone are taking part. The goal is to see if the app alone or with peer support reduces the number of drinks they have.
