NCT ID NCT07314684

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding semaglutide to standard diabetes care can reduce inflammation and improve blood vessel function in people with type 2 diabetes who are at high risk for heart problems but have not yet had a heart attack or stroke. Researchers will measure blood markers of inflammation and vessel health over 52 weeks in 80 participants. The goal is to understand how semaglutide might help control diabetes-related damage beyond lowering blood sugar.
