Brain radiation plus drugs: a new hope for cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT05522660
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a precise type of radiation (stereotactic radiosurgery) to standard drug treatments can better control brain metastases in people with melanoma or non-small cell lung cancer. About 180 participants with newly diagnosed, untreated brain metastases that cause few or no symptoms will be randomly assigned to receive either standard drugs alone or drugs plus radiation. The goal is to see which approach improves how long the brain cancer stays under control and overall quality of life.
