Can a photo reveal how deep skin cancer goes?
NCT ID NCT07384949
First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study examines whether special skin images (dermoscopy) can predict how deep a type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma has grown. Researchers will review records and images from 238 patients diagnosed between 2016 and 2025. The goal is to see if certain features in the images match the tumor's depth found during surgery, which could help doctors plan treatment without needing a biopsy first.
