Sprint drills may give young basketball players an edge

NCT ID NCT07477379

First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a special sprint training program to regular basketball practice could help young players jump higher and move faster. Twenty male players, ages 18-19, took part. Half did the extra sprint drills for six weeks, while the other half stuck with their usual training. The results will show if this type of training is a good way to improve performance on the court.
