Spine surgery study: does less surgery lead to natural correction?
NCT ID NCT07139938
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with lumbar spinal stenosis (a narrowing in the lower spine) who have decompression surgery—without additional fusion or correction—may see their spine alignment improve naturally. Researchers will measure changes in spine balance using full-body X-rays before and after surgery. The goal is to understand if simpler surgery can sometimes be enough, avoiding more complex procedures.
