Summary
This study tested whether adding an experimental oral medication called SPN-820 could help adults with major depressive disorder who were already taking a standard antidepressant but still had significant symptoms. The 40 participants took SPN-820 every three days for 10 days in addition to their regular medication. Researchers measured changes in depression severity and monitored for side effects to see if the add-on treatment was safe and effective.
