First seen Dec 05, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks back at the records of about 8,000 people who had a spleen injury from trauma. The goal is to understand when doctors choose a small procedure (embolisation) instead of open surgery or just watching, and which method works best. No new treatments are given; the researchers are learning from past cases to design better future studies.
