Veterans' spine health under the microscope: new study targets vibration damage

NCT ID NCT07367139

First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how whole body vibration from military or civilian jobs (like flying helicopters or driving trucks) affects the spine health of 112 veterans aged 20-45. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans to see changes in the discs and bones of the spine, both right after vibration and over time. The goal is to understand these effects so better prevention and treatment can be developed.
