Summary
This study tested a vacuum-assisted closure device (Prevena) on the surgical wounds of 104 adults who had spinal fusion surgery. The goal was to see if the device could reduce common wound problems like infections, reopening, or fluid buildup. The device was placed over the closed incision to help keep it clean and promote healing.
