Tiny beads could revolutionize recovery after spine surgery

NCT ID NCT07201987

Summary

This study is testing whether placing special antibiotic beads that also release pain medicine directly into the surgical site during back surgery can help people recover better. Researchers will compare this approach to standard pain management to see if it reduces overall pain, shortens hospital stays, and decreases the need for strong opioid painkillers after surgery. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage pain and improve recovery for people undergoing spinal fusion surgery.
