New study aims to find best radiation for spine cancer pain

Summary
This study tests three types of radiation therapy for cancer that has spread to the spine, causing pain. The goal is to see which treatment best relieves pain at 3 and 6 months. About 240 adults with spine metastases who haven't had prior radiation will be randomly assigned to standard external beam radiation, standard dose stereotactic body radiation, or higher dose stereotactic body radiation.
