First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive method to help regulate blood pressure in veterans with spinal cord injury who have chronically low blood pressure. Researchers placed electrodes on the skin over the spine and adjusted the stimulation to find the best settings for raising blood pressure to a safer range. Ten participants with injuries at or above T6 took part in this early-stage trial.
