New MRI technique aims to spot hidden spinal cord lesions in MS

NCT ID NCT04819737

First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a new MRI method called AMIRA to better detect spinal cord lesions in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Ten adults with MS will get both standard and new MRI scans. The goal is to see if the new method finds more lesions and helps doctors agree on what they see. This is a pilot study, so it focuses on improving detection, not on treatment.
