New surgical technique aims to boost spinal cord healing

NCT ID NCT07280351

Summary

This study is testing whether a surgical procedure called expansile duraplasty helps adults recover better after a recent traumatic spinal cord injury. Researchers will compare recovery in people who receive the procedure during their standard surgery to those who do not. The main goals are to see if the procedure improves movement and strength and to check how safe it is.
