Researchers probe link between bladder tests and dangerous blood pressure spikes
NCT ID NCT06211491
Summary
This study aims to better understand a dangerous condition called autonomic dysreflexia (AD), where blood pressure spikes dangerously during bladder tests in people with spinal cord injuries. Researchers will observe 30 participants with specific spinal cord injuries to see if the speed of filling the bladder during a standard test affects how often or how severely these blood pressure spikes occur. The goal is to gather knowledge to make these necessary medical tests safer.
