First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests two behavioral programs to help people with chronic pain and insomnia sleep better and reduce their use of opioid painkillers. Researchers will enroll 165 adults who have chronic widespread pain, take prescribed opioids at least three times a week, and want to cut back. Participants will learn sleep-improving techniques, and the study will track changes in sleep quality, pain levels, and opioid use over time.
