Can imagining your worst fear make therapy for spider phobia work better?
NCT ID NCT05424250
Summary
This study tested a new way to improve a common therapy for spider fear. Researchers compared a standard one-session therapy to the same therapy where people occasionally imagined their worst fear about spiders. They measured if this mental imagery technique helped reduce fear and avoidance more effectively one week later.
