Could Dad's sperm be the hidden cause of repeated miscarriages?
NCT ID NCT02572154
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether sperm DNA damage might explain why some couples experience multiple miscarriages with no clear cause. Researchers compared sperm quality from 64 men: those whose partners had unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss and those who had a healthy baby. The goal was to see if higher levels of sperm DNA fragmentation are linked to pregnancy loss, which could help guide future diagnosis and treatment.
