Study tests 'Speech Entrainment' to help stroke survivors find their voice again

NCT ID NCT04364854

Summary

This study tested a speech therapy technique called Speech Entrainment Therapy (SET) to help people who have trouble speaking after a stroke. Researchers wanted to find out if 3, 4.5, or 6 weeks of therapy worked best to help people speak more fluently in everyday situations. The study involved 80 stroke survivors with non-fluent aphasia, comparing different therapy lengths against a no-treatment group.
