Your phone could help track this devastating disease
NCT ID NCT07341334
Summary
This study aims to understand how speech and breathing change over time in Spanish-speaking people with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Researchers will use a smartphone app to collect recordings from about 35 participants, comparing those with ALS to healthy individuals. The goal is to see if these digital voice measurements can reliably track the progression of the disease, especially problems with speaking and swallowing.
