Summary
This study tested a new type of PET-CT scanner that lets surgeons check right after removing a tumor whether any cancer cells are left at the edge of the removed tissue. 57 people with prostate or head and neck cancer took part. The goal was to see if the scanner is accurate enough to guide surgeons during the operation, reducing the need for guesswork and extra treatments.
