New hope to shield kidneys during cancer fight

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a drug called sparsentan can safely reduce severe protein leakage in the urine (proteinuria) for cancer patients. This kidney problem is a known side effect of certain powerful cancer drugs. The trial will involve about 20 adults who are currently receiving these cancer treatments and have developed this specific kidney issue.
