First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving a sour liquid early after a stroke helps patients with swallowing problems. 95 stroke patients were split into two groups: one received sour liquid, the other did not. Their swallowing ability was checked on day 1, day 7, and day 30. The goal was to see if sour taste could improve swallowing recovery.
