Do people with obesity hear their own sounds differently?
NCT ID NCT06298539
Summary
This study investigated whether women with obesity perceive self-generated sounds differently than sounds made by others, compared to healthy-weight women. Researchers tested 37 participants using button presses to create sounds in individual and interactive settings. The goal was to understand if differences in sound perception relate to social interaction challenges sometimes experienced in obesity.
