New drug trial aims to help lungs work better in serious Heart-Lung disease

NCT ID NCT07140484

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called sotatercept can improve how well the lungs absorb oxygen during exercise in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Twenty-seven adults with PAH who are already on stable background treatments will receive sotatercept injections every three weeks for 29 weeks. Researchers will measure lung function, exercise capacity, and heart health through multiple clinic visits to see if the drug helps recruit more blood vessels in the lungs.
