New drug shows promise for better heart function in PAH patients

Summary

This study tested whether the drug sotatercept, given for 36 weeks, can improve how the heart and lungs work during exercise in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Thirty adults with PAH took part. The main goal was to see if the drug helps the heart pump blood more efficiently and improves quality of life.
