New approach aims to silence Post-Surgery sore throats
NCT ID NCT07202624
Summary
This study tested two different drugs placed inside the cuff of a breathing tube to see which one better prevents sore throat, hoarseness, and coughing after long spine surgery performed while lying face-down. It involved 100 adults undergoing this specific type of surgery. The goal was to find a more effective way to reduce this common and uncomfortable side effect of anesthesia.
