First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study is testing a handheld device called Sonodyn for people with chronic low back pain, neck pain, or tension headaches caused by myofascial pain syndrome that hasn't improved with other treatments. The device combines low-energy ultrasound, electrical, and magnetic stimulation to target painful trigger points. About 126 adults will use the device three times daily for three weeks, and researchers will track pain changes compared to a sham (inactive) device.
