New device aims to zap away stubborn muscle pain without drugs

Summary
This study is testing a handheld device called Sonodyn for people with long-lasting muscle pain in the lower back, neck, or tension headaches that hasn't improved with other treatments. The device uses a mix of low-energy ultrasound, electrical, and magnetic pulses to target painful trigger points. About 126 adults will either use the real device or a fake one for 3 weeks, and researchers will track their pain levels for up to 12 weeks to see if the device helps reduce pain.
