First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at 31 people with a type of underbite called skeletal Class III who had jaw surgery. Researchers compared a newer, less invasive surgery to the standard approach to see how facial soft tissues (like cheeks and lips) changed shape. They used 3D imaging to measure differences before and at least 6 months after surgery.
