Researchers track friendship and daily life of young brain tumor survivors

NCT ID NCT03361033

Summary

This study aimed to understand how surviving a childhood brain tumor affects a child's ability to make friends and interact socially. Researchers observed 80 children, aged 8 to 12, who were at least two years past their cancer treatment. They tracked the children's daily social interactions and assessed their thinking skills to learn what factors help or hinder social development.
