First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a new social-emotional learning program called EMPOWER can be used in after-school programs for youth aged 11-14. Researchers wanted to see if the program is practical and liked by staff and kids, and if it helps improve emotional skills, resilience, and overall well-being. About 218 participants, including youth, staff, and parents, took part across 20 after-school sites.
