NCT ID NCT06052449

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested whether helping people with social needs like housing, food, or transportation could increase lung cancer screening rates. About 100 adults aged 50-80 who were current or former heavy smokers took part. One group received standard education about lung screening, while the other also got help connecting to social services. The goal was to see if addressing social barriers makes people more likely to get screened.
