Mindset training beats health advice for sticking to workouts

NCT ID NCT07481318

Summary

This study tested if teaching people to compare themselves to others in a helpful way could make them more likely to stick with exercise. Researchers randomly assigned 160 young adults who didn't exercise much to either learn this 'constructive comparison' skill or receive general health education. Both groups followed the same 8-week exercise program to see which approach led to better long-term exercise habits.
