VA tests text therapy for Veterans' social anxiety
NCT ID NCT05996419
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a brief text-based program could help veterans with social anxiety reduce their safety behaviors—things like avoiding eye contact or rehearsing sentences. The program aimed to help veterans who were returning to work better manage their anxiety in social situations. Results from this 23-person study will help design a larger trial to see if the approach improves veterans' quality of life and work success.
