Text message reminders boost cancer screening in younger adults
NCT ID NCT07112729
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether sending text message reminders could increase colorectal cancer screening among 45-49 year olds. Over 6,700 residents were randomly assigned to receive either standard notifications or text message invitations. The goal was to see if more people completed a simple stool test (FIT) within a month. Results help show if low-cost text reminders can improve early detection in this age group.
