Summary
This small study tested whether sending text messages to caregivers could help prevent people from attempting suicide again after leaving the hospital. Researchers enrolled 15 adults who had recently survived a suicide attempt, along with their chosen caregivers. The main goal was to see if this text-message monitoring system was practical and acceptable for both patients and their support people.
