New cancer drug enters first human trials for Tough-to-Treat tumors

Summary
This is an early-stage study to test the safety, side effects, and best dose of a new investigational drug called SMP-3124LP in adults with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard treatments. The study will enroll about 120 participants with specific cancers like ovarian, breast, lung, and others. The main goals are to find a safe dose for future testing and to see if the drug shows any early signs of helping to control the cancer.
