Brain retraining program aims to break smoking addiction
NCT ID NCT07025772
Summary
This study tests whether adding a computer-based brain training exercise to standard quit-smoking treatment helps people stay smoke-free longer. Researchers will follow 300 adult smokers who want to quit, comparing three approaches: standard treatment alone, standard treatment with the brain training, or standard treatment with a placebo version. Participants will receive 7 weeks of treatment, track their progress daily for a month, and have follow-up checks for 6 months to see which method works best.
