Summary
This study tests a new type of counseling called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people with certain cancers quit smoking. About 51 participants who have or had head and neck, lung, breast, gastrointestinal, or genitourinary cancer and smoke at least one cigarette daily will receive either ACT or standard counseling. Researchers will compare which approach works better for stopping smoking.
