Scientists track Tobacco's hidden path to cancer
NCT ID NCT03998735
Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific chemical (nornicotine) in smokeless tobacco products might be converted inside the body into a known cancer-causing substance (NNN). Researchers are measuring this process in 55 adult smokeless tobacco users. The goal is to gather evidence that could lead to recommendations for reducing or removing this chemical from tobacco products to lower cancer risk for users.
